Set Your Goals on Fire by Steve E. GardnerDescriptionSet Your Goals on Fire. The Secret to Setting Goals and Making your Dreams come True.Goal setting is one of the most important keys to success. In fact, it is a very important part of the formula that the so-called One Percenters use to blaze past the 99%. It has been said that a “goal is a dream with a date on it,” and “If you don’t have a dream, you can’t have a dream come true.” Striving for success without setting goals is like playing Olympic soccer without a net. But setting a goal is not enough. You have to have a game plan. Paul Azinger, professional golfer and captain of the 2008 Ryder Cup team, put it this way, “A dream without a plan is just a wish.” (CBS, August 2012). Paul had a plan and he led Phil Mickelson and the rest of the US team to victory by a large margin (Tiger Woods was out from knee surgery). SMART Goals. How do you set them? Denis Waitley helps us with that. How about a game plan? Bill Belichick helps us with that. You have the right stuff in you. You have what it takes to succeed. The Genius in All of Us, a book by David Shenk, shows you how you can transform your dreams into reality. There are genetic changes that take place when you make decisions, believe and take action. Secretariat, the Triple Crown winner, won only because his owner, Penny Chenery (Diane Lane) committed herself to the plan. But it is not enough to believe. You have to run like the wind. You are racing for your dreams and your goals. All too often, we let 1 hurdle stop us. I can show you how to get past that hurdle. Robert Griffin III, Heisman Trophy winner, tells us that “Greatness is not given. Greatness is taken,” so let’s go out there and take it. But there are times when we do everything we planned to do and it’s just not working out. What do you do when you executed the plan and the plan is not getting you where you want to go? Goals delayed are not goals denied. If what you do is not working, you have to change the plan. You have to make half-time adjustments. LeBron James, love him or hate him, knows all about that. He was not achieving his goals. So what did he do about it? I spell out for you what he did to make his NBA Championship dreams come true. Goals and dreams require only 1 talent. There is 1 talent that stands far above the rest. In fact, if you have this 1 talent, you will succeed. It is more important and all of the other talents I could mention. It can be summed up in three words or less. Just as there is only 1 talent needed, there are only 2 kinds of people. Do you have that talent? Which one of the 2 kinds of people are you? Do you have what it takes to Set Your Goals on Fire? These 100 or so pages will help you do just that. I pulled information from 13 great books and from years of experience to help you become all that you can be. Get your copy today, and Set Your Goals on Fire.
